About Us
Our Mission
The Arran Society of Glasgow is a benevolent organisation with a mission to develop and enhance cultural and educational opportunities and provide support when needed for people from the Isle of Arran.
As a registered charity (SC014603) the Society makes modest but meaningful financial awards (about £8,000 a year) to support young people, community groups, those facing hardship, education, and cultural initiatives on the Isle of Arran.
Established in 1843, the Society is always looking to extend its membership to ensure its aims and objectives continue to be fulfilled.

Recipient Testimonials
“We are the Isle of Arran Music School and we kindly received funding from the ASG for tuition, which is a great opportunity to learn Scottish instruments. Our tutors are really encouraging, and we can learn to be part of a pipe band.”
“Thank you to the ASG for helping me fund my music degree in London. I look back at the last four years and I feel like I’ve made the most of my time here and look forward to what the future holds as a professional musician.”
